Fence Perimeter Security

For the protection of fence perimeters, FiberRanger provides both ranging (FR302-Class, FR301, and FR200 series) and Zone (FR100 series) products based on fiber-optic sensors. To completely eliminate a single point of failure of the system and yet provide seamless integration, redundant options are available that are designed from bottom up.

100% Redundant Configuration for Reliability

Groundbreaking 100% redundant configuration designed from the bottom up to provide the highest reliability and security in the market. The redundant configuration integrates either two FR201-Fence systems or two FR301 systems. Each system is hot swappable, and automatically turns on when the other system fails.

Small Form Factor

Smallest form factor in the market. A complete redundant configuration with two FR201-Fence systems takes only 2U of space. One FR301 system also takes 2U of space. In addition to occupying less rack space, shipping and handling are made easy.

Simple Installation and Maintenance Free

The system is easy to install, calibrate, and tune. Zones are configured using software, adding flexibility to an installation. No electrical power is required in the field, and can be installed on most types of fences. Once installed, maintenance is low.

Long Range and High Location Accuracy

Long Range (up to 80 km per system, up to 40km each sensor) with pinpoint location accuracy of +/- 6 m. The system has 2 sensors.

Cut Immunity

The system is immune to a cable cut when installed in a loop configuration. Each sensor detects up to the point of a cut.

Advanced Signal Processing

Algorithms use pattern recognition for Classification and advanced background rejection leading to superior Probability of Detection and a low nuisance alarm rate.

Summary

The ranging products (FR302-Class, FR301 and FR200 series) can detect, classify, and precisely locate to within a few meters of the intrusion on a fence. The Zone product (FR100-Zone) is easy to install and can detect an intrusion within a zone, while providing excellent detection and classification capabilities. All products use advanced artificial intelligence and pattern recognition capabilities to bring the highest probability of detection and lowest nuisance alarm rate in the industry. Intelligent background rejection removes the effect of undesirable factors such as wind, rain, thunder, vehicles, trains, planes, etc. In addition, the User Interface is developed to be intuitive with a high degree of automation to make it highly user friendly. Special attention was given to the reliability of the system, including cut immunity and 100% redundancy. FR101-ZONE, FR201-Fence, and FR301 can be used on most flexible and rigid fence perimeters. Lead in capabilities allow for sensing to begin where needed on the fence while the system is installed inside a controller room. Installation of both ZONE (FR101-ZONE) and Ranging (FR201-Fence and FR301) products are simple and tuning is intuitive.
